The cottage sleeps 6, and downstairs consists of a hall/dining room, cloakroom, sitting room, fitted kitchen and twin bedroom, whilst upstairs there are 2 single bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with en suite shower room, and a bathroom with bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The cottage also has Sky satellite TV, real log burner, gas central heating and telephone.

The cottage enjoys a southerly aspect, and is built of mellow, honey coloured Cotswold stone with stone mullioned leaded lights. There is ample car parking.

Winchcombe is a classic Cotswold town with numerous Cotswold stone houses and cottages all set within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearest shops and public house being 1 mile away. Muir Cottage is an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds with Cheltenham and Stratford Upon Avon nearby. There are many National Trust properties and gardens nearby e.g. Hidcote and Snowshill Manor, with a wealth of places of interest e.g. Kiftsgate Court and Sudeley Castle and many historic towns. For those who prefer to explore the area in more depth there are many areas to go walking with Winchcombe and Muir Cottage itself lying on the Cotswold Way. Other walks include the Gloucestershire Way, Windrush Way, Wardens Way and Wychavon Way.
